Vessel owners and operators sometimes need to appoint a preferred agent to supervise the charterers’ agency function and monitor port call operations. Carthage Shipping Agencies offer a first PA service to owners and operators with the view to safeguard and protect their interest in whatever manner necessary. These services can be summarized as below:
- Verification of proforma and disbursement account: CSA handle all aspects of disbursement account management, from verification of proforma disbursement accounts (PDA) to validation of Final Disbursement Accounts (FDA) with monitoring of variances & controlling that only valid expense items are included.
- Receipt of funding and vendor payments: CSA manage the receipt of owners’ funds and the payment to head agents.
- Document review and management: CSA Check all cargo documents, Statement of Facts (SOF), time sheets, and release letters of protest.
- Monitoring cargo and vessels movements: CSA continuously monitor all aspects and operations of a vessel’s call in port in order to protect the interests of the party represented.
